News Jack Thorne's Mydidae Transfers to West End's Trafalgar Studios 2 Mydidae, a new play by Jack Thorne exploring a relationship between two people and staged in a fully plumbed bathroom, is to be revived at the West End's Trafalgar Studios 2, beginning performances March 5 prior to an official opening March 7, for a run through March 30. It was previously seen last year at Soho Theatre.

The play is set at a poignant milestone in the young couple's life: the first anniversary of a shared personal tragedy. David and Marian's different perspectives of the event and their conflicting views test their relationship and force brutal realities into the forefront of their consciousness. The play explores how loss and pain can mutate into blame and guilt and how, sometimes, those closest to us can provoke the most painful feelings of all. Commissioned and produced by DryWrite as their first full-length play, it is directed by Vicky Jones, co-artistic director of DryWhite, and performed by her fellow co-artistic director Phoebe Waller-Bridge as Marian and Keir Charles as David. It is designed by Amy Jane Cook, with lighting by Jack Williams and sound by Isobel Waller-Bridge, who is also the composer. The performance includes full-frontal nudity, swearing and sexual references.

Playwright Jack Thorne's previous work includes an adaptation of The Physicists for the Donmar Warehouse, Bunny (seen on a UK tour and in New York), Greenland (co-written for the National Theatre) and 2nd May 1997 (seen at the Bush Theatre). His plays Fanny and Faggot and Stacy have both also transferred previously to the Trafalgar Studios 2. He is currently under commission to the Royal Court Theatre, The National Theatre, and the Royal & Derngate, Northampton. His stage version of Let The Right One In, based on the cult Swedish novel and screenplay by John Ajvide Lindquist, will be produced by The National Theatre of Scotland and Marla Rubin Productions Ltd. in association with Dundee Rep Theatre, directed by John Tiffany in June 2013.
