Hoffman, who currently plays Grandma Addams in the Broadway musical The Addams Family, is celebrating her first 50th birthday with an all-new engagement at Joe's Pub. Performances began Nov. 22 and will continue Dec. 13 and 24 at 7:30 PM; as well as Dec. 31 at 7 PM; and Jan. 3 and 17, 2011, at 7:30 PM.

Hoffman announced the extension during the sold-out Dec. 6 performance, which included a host of theatre folk, including Jersey Boys and Addams Family writer Rick Ellis.

Co-authored and directed by Michael Schiralli, and featuring musical direction by Bobby Peaco, Hoffman takes aim at her own career on Broadway and film, while offering an unsparing and hilariously caustic look at the theatre community, the world at large and her current stint in The Addams Family.

Lamenting the fact that every other grandmother character on Broadway has received a Tony nomination, Hoffman share's her own, original song she penned for her character to sing in The Addams Family. Additional highlights include Hoffman's husband, trumpeter Steve Smith, who joins the singing comedienne for a Latin-kissed tune about Queen Latifah.

Hoffman received a Theatre World Award for her work in Hairspray. Her other theatrical credits include Xanadu, The Sisters Rosensweig, Regrets Only, Book of Liz (Obie Award), Straightjacket, Incident at Cobbler's Knob and One Woman Shoe (Jeff Award). Hoffman has been seen on screen in "Legally Blonde II," "Kissing Jessica Stein," "Garden State," "Mo' Money" and "Freaky Friday."
