Classic Arts News Jacob's Pillow Sets Attendance Record The 2005 season at the Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival set new records for attendance.
Festival organizers report attendance figures of 83,000 at both paid and free events, an increase of 3 percent over last year's figures and the highest in the festival's 73 seasons.

The season's schedule included new works by Ben Munisteri Dance Projects, Ronald K. Brown/Evidence, Susan Marshall & Company, and johannes wieland, as well as the U.S. premieres of works by A Poc A Poc, Stockholm/59Ô_ North, Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montr_al, and Black Grace.

The Martha Graham Dance Company, Mark Morris Dance Group, and Savion Glover also made appearances at the festival.
