Late-night TV talk show host and 2016 Tony Awards host James Corden made an unannounced cameo appearance in the Broadway company of the Disney musical Aladdin September 9.

Corden, who previously appeared in a cameo in the touring company of The Phantom of the Opera for a comedy bit on his show, CBS-TV‘s The Late Late Show, made the appearance as part of a new upcoming comedy segment for his other gig, Britain’s Sky 1 network reality show A League of Their Own.

Corden appeared as part of the the show-stopping number “Friend Like Me.” In the segment, he and his three co-stars, Freddie Flintoff, Jack Whitehall and Jamie Redknapp, competed for the chance to appear in a performance of Aladdin, which plays at Broadway’s New Amsterdam Theatre.

Corden, a Tony Award winner himself for One Man, Two Guvnors, won the most prominent role and appeared alongside fellow Tony-winner James Monroe Iglehart as game show hosts presenting Aladdin with prize suggestions. Among the intentionally groan-worthy puns: “Behind curtain number three: a brand new pyramid! Now you and King Tut will finally have something in Tutankhamen.”
