Directed by Gary Halvorson and Wayne Cilento, the production will play Theater St. Clements beginning Oct. 8 at 8 PM.
The cast will also include the previously announced Deidre Goodwin, James Patrick Stuart, Tom McGowan, Luba Mason and Xanadu Tony nominee Kerry Butler as well as Traci Blair, Cristy Candler, Mark Chmiel, Carolyn Doherty, Tina Johnson, Michael Ruocco and Matthew Schechter.
Pandora's Box features music and lyrics by Glen Roven and a book by Maria S. Schlatter. The musical is based on "Gazon Maudit," which featured a screenplay by Josiane Balasko.
The new musical, according to press notes, concerns "Pandora, a suburban housewife and her serial-philanderer husband Oliver, [who ] have their love and lives turned upside down the day that Mona, a Lesbian handy-woman walks through their door. In this raucous, contemporary sex farce, Mona and Oliver face off in a fight to win the greatest prize of all, the love of the beautiful Pandora."
James Patrick Stuart has also appeared on screen in “The Closer,” “CSI: Miami,” “Wolverine and the X-Men,” “Samantha Who?,” “Imagine That” and “It's Complicated,” among others. Performance times are scheduled for Oct. 8 at 8 PM, Oct. 9 at 1 PM, Oct. 11 at 5 PM, Oct. 13 at 9 PM, Oct. 14 at 9 PM and Oct. 16 at 5 PM.
