News James Taylor Will Make Theatrical Debut in A Christmas Carol for Berkshire Theatre Group Grammy Award-winning musician James Taylor will make his theatrical debut as Bob Cratchit in the Berkshire Theatre Group production of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, beginning Dec. 17.

Known for his hits "Fire and Rain" and "Carolina in My Mind," Taylor also penned songs for the Broadway musical Working. He will make his stage debut under the direction of Eric Hill, who also adapted the production and stars as Scrooge. Performances continue through Dec. 30 at the Colonial Theatre in Pittsfield, MA.

The cast will also include Britt Faulkner (Ghost of Christmas Past), Jacob Gold (Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come), Brandon Green (Ghost of Christmas Present), Emilee Logan (Tiny Tim), Eddie Shields (Young Scrooge), E. Gray Simons III (Marley), Kim Taylor (Mrs. Cratchit), Rachael Balcanoff (Mrs. Fred), Sarah Elizabeth Bedard (Belle), Michael Brahce (Narrator), Emma Foley (Fan), Daniel Garrity (Peter Cratchit), Sam Gillam (Fred), Amy Kane (Martha Cratchit), Hanna Koczela (Dorit Cratchit), Ralph Petillo (Fezziwig), Gail Ryan (Mrs. Fezziwig), Chris Vecchia (Belle’s Husband, Emelyn Theriault (Belle’s Daughter) and Paul Santerella (Undertaker).

The chorus will include Lindsay Belair, Caroline Fairweather, Michelena Mastriani, Connor McNinch, Lydia Richardson, Brighton Sawyer, Abby Schilling, Reeve Schroder, Samuel Schroder, Lauren Stanek, Henry Taylor, Marcella Tenuta and Sophia Tenuta.

A Christmas Carol will have scenic design by Carl Sprague, co-costume design by David Murin and Arthur Oliver, with original costume design by Jessica Risser-Milne, lighting design by Matthew E. Adelson and sound design by J Hagenbuckle.

Tickets go on sale at the box office Nov. 13 for Berkshire County residents. The general public can phone (413) 997-4444 or visit JamesTaylor.com for tickets beginning Nov. 15.
