The event, according to press notes, "honors individuals and organizations who have demonstrated a commitment to helping loving families achieve equal rights."
Honorees include Dan Savage and Terry Miller, founders of the It Gets Better Project; Kris Perry & Sandy Stier and Paul Katami & Jeff Zarrillo, the plaintiffs from the Perry v. Schwarzenegger trial; and actor Luke MacFarlane from the ABC-TV show, "Brothers & Sisters."
"Glee" Emmy and Golden Globe winner Jane Lynch and screenwriter Dustin Lance Black will serve as presenters.
Proceeds from the event help sustain Family Equality Council’s educational, advocacy and policy work.
