News Janson, Cox and Cornelius to Read Canfora's Place Setting in London Two free readings of Jack Canfora's Place Setting will be presented July 21 and 22 at London's Soho Theatre.

Directed by Evan Bergman, the readings will feature the talents of Cassidy Janson (Elphaba in the West End production of Wicked), Alan Cox (national tour of Frost/Nixon) and Deborah Cornelius ("Masterpiece Theatre").

Adam Weinstock is producing the reading. Show times are July 21 at 7 PM and July 22 at 3 PM.

Place Setting, according to press notes, "tells the truth about how 21st century men and women view relationships and marriage. On the eve of the millennium, six couples gather for dinner to ring in the New Year. Before the bigger party starts in the next room we are privy to the fact that their relationships may all be in danger of short circuiting when the year 2000 begins."

Place Setting made its world premiere in June 2007 at the New Jersey Repertory Company. The play was originally developed under the auspices of thedramaloft in association with Creative Concept Productions.

Canfora's latest play, Poetic License, will be seen this fall at New Jersey Rep. The Soho Theatre is located in London at 21 Dean Street. Although the reading is free, reservations are required by e-mailing [email protected].
