During the Hollywood Bowl's annual opening night benefit concert on June 22, legendary tenor Placido Domingo and Hollywood Bowl Orchestra Founding Director John Mauceri will be inducted into the Hollywood Bowl's Hall of Fame. Show time is 8:30 PM. Alexander, the veteran of Broadway's Jerome Robbins' Broadway and The Rink who is best known for his award-winning work on TV's "Seinfeld," will perform a medley of songs from musicals Mauceri has led at the Bowl. Concertgoers can expect to hear tunes from Carousel, Show Boat, The Music Man, My Fair Lady, Mame, Camelot and The Sound of Music.

Actor/musician Jack Black will also make a special appearance to spotlight 20 young musicians from eight Los Angeles youth orchestras. These young musicians will perform with members of the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra.

Past inductees into the Hollywood Bowl Hall of Fame include John Williams, Garth Brooks, Marilyn Horne, Stevie Wonder, Bonnie Raitt, John Raitt, Monty Python, Kathleen Battle, Randy Newman, Bernadette Peters, Leopold Stokowski, George Harrison, the Smothers Brothers, Roger Daltrey, Patti LuPone, Nathan Lane, Henry Mancini, Sarah Chang, Brian Wilson, Trisha Yearwood, Joshua Bell, Frank Sinatra, Carlos Santana and Andre Watts.

The evening will benefit Music Matters, the Los Angeles Philharmonic's music education programs.
