News Jason Alexander Will Receive 2012 Julie Harris Award at 16th Annual Tony Awards Party in L.A. Tony Award winner Jason Alexander will receive the Julie Harris Award for Lifetime Achievement at the 16th annual Tony Awards Party, which will be presented by The Actors Fund June 10 at the Skirball Center in Los Angeles.

The gala will begin at 3 PM PT with cocktails and a silent auction, followed by a dinner and live broadcast of the Tonys at 5 PM. The Julie Harris Award will be presented at 8 PM.

The gala features the only approved live feed of the Tony Awards as they happen in New York. As previously reported, Neil Patrick Harris will host the 66th Annual Tony Awards, which will be broadcast June 10 live from the Beacon Theatre in New York City.

Previous recipients of the Julie Harris Award include Julie Harris, Gwen Verdon, Charles Durning, Rita Moreno, James Earl Jones, Tyne Daly, Lauren Bacall, Stockard Channing, Carol Channing, Liza Minnelli, Jerry Herman, Tommy Tune, Chita Rivera, Brian Stokes Mitchell and Hal Holbrook.

Alexander won the Tony Award in 1989 for his performance in Jerome Robbins' Broadway. The actor, known for his portrayal of George Coastanza in the hit TV series "Seinfeld," has also been seen on Broadway in Accomplice, Broadway Bound, The Rink and Merrily We Roll Along.
