News Jason Butler Harner to Be Tom in DC The Glass Menagerie Jason Butler Harner will play the central role of Tom in the Kennedy Center's upcoming production of The Glass Menagerie, Playbill On-Line has learned.

Harner recently appeared in Mr. Fox: A Rumination, with Bill Irwin, at the Signature Theatre Company Off-Broadway. His other Off-Broadway credits include Juno and the Paycock, An Experiment with an Air Pump, Henry VIII and Macbeth, the latter two at the Public Theater. As previously reported, Corey Brill will portray the Gentlemen Caller, Sally Field is Amanda Wingfield and Jennifer Dundas is Laura in the family drama set in 1939 St. Louis. Directed by Gregory Mosher, Menagerie will play the Kennedy Center's Eisenhower Theatre July 17-Aug. 8.

"Tennessee Williams Explored," which is currently presenting A Streetcar Named Desire through May 30, will be followed by A Distant Country Called Youth, June 11-13; Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, June 12-July 4; and the aforementioned The Glass Menagerie, July 17-Aug. 8.
