Jason Danieley of The Full Monty fame heads a diverse cast of performers on a new Boston Pops Orchestra CD that pays tribute to the late, famed composer Richard Rodgers.

"My Favorite Things — A Richard Rodgers Celebration," the 13-track disc, is due in stores April 23 on the RCA Victor label.

Danieley, who earned a Theatre World Award for his work in the revival of Candide and who starred in the original Broadway production of The Full Monty, lends his rich tenor to The King and I ballad "I Have Dreamed" on this new disc, which features Keith Lockhart conducting the Boston Pops Orchestra. Other artists celebrating the work of Richard Rodgers are country superstars Martina McBride, performing the disc's title track, "My Favorite Things," and Collin Raye, who croons the title tune from The Sound of Music.

Additional highlights include an arrangement of Oklahoma!'s "The Surrey with the Fringe on Top" by former Boston Pops conductor John Williams, an arrangement of Flower Drum Song's "Grant Avenue" by Grammy winner Don Sebesky as well as instrumental versions of "The Carousel Waltz," "Shall We Dance?," the Babes in Arms overture, Victory at Sea's "D-Day" and The Garrick Gaieties of 1926's "Mountain Greenery." The new disc also boasts two recording premieres: "March of the Clowns" from the 1938 The Nursery Ballet and a symphonic version of On Your Toes's "Slaughter on Tenth Avenue."

The Boston Pops was most recently seen on this year's broadcast of Super Bowl XXXVI. The world-renowned orchestra will also present an all-Rodgers program on a nationally televised PBS program this summer as well as a segment of this year's annual Fourth of July A&E Network broadcast. "My Favorite Things — A Richard Rodgers Celebration" is conductor Keith Lockhart's eighth recording with the Boston Pops Orchestra for the RCA Victor label.
