Manhattan Concert Productions, which presented the starry concerts of the Tony-winning musicals Ragtime and Titanic in recent seasons, will present the large-scale concert of Parade Feb. 16, 2015.

Composer-lyricist Brown, who earned a Tony Award for Best Original Score for Parade, will conduct the concert that will feature a chorus of over 200, in addition to the New York City Chamber Orchestra and a full professional Broadway cast.

Set in Atlanta, GA, in 1913, Parade recounts the true story of factory owner Leo Frank, who is put on trial for the murder of a young girl in his employ. Frank's sensational trial played out in the papers, as much as the courtroom, while his wife crusaded for justice. The musical has a book by Alfred Uhry.

Parade debuted in 1998 under the direction of Harold Prince at Lincoln Center's Vivian Beaumont Theater. Nominated for nine Tony Awards, the production earned Tonys for Best Book of a Musical (Uhry) and Best Original Score (Brown). The original cast featured Brent Carver and Carolee Carmello.

Songs from the popular score include "Old Red Hills of Home," "How Can I Call This Home?," "You Don't Know This Man," "Big News," "It's Hard to Speak My Heart," "Pretty Music" and "All the Wasted Time." Brown is also the writer of Songs for a New World, The Last Five Years, Urban Cowboy the Musical, 13 and the current, Tony-nominated Broadway musical The Bridges of Madison County. His new musical Honeymoon in Vegas is slated to open on Broadway later this year. A film adaptation of The Last Five Years is also slated for a 2014 release.
