Tony Awards Jay Armstrong Johnson and More Will Share Broadway's "Untold Stories" at Tony Awards Pop-Up Shop Event Author and musical theatre historian Jennifer Ashley Tepper will be joined by Jay Armstrong Johnson (On The Town), Tony-nominated lyricist Amanda Green (Hands on a Hardbody) and Jim Walton (On The Twentieth Century) at the Tony Awards Pop-Up Shop May 21. They will read excerpts from Tepper's "The Untold Stories of Broadway, Volume 2."

The Tony Awards and Dress Circle Publishing present the event, which will be held from 5:30-6:30 PM. The Tony Awards Pop-Up Shop is located at the Paramount Hotel and is open daily to visitors.

"The Untold Stories of Broadway, Volume 2," according to press notes, "is the second book in Jennifer Ashley Tepper's bestselling series which tells the story of the most important stages in the world using firsthand accounts of producers, actors, stage hands, writers, musicians, company managers, dressers, designers, directors, ushers, and door men who bring The Great White Way to life each night."

Both volumes of "The Untold Stories of Broadway" are available at the Tony Awards Pop-Up Shop. Tepper will be signing books following the reading.

"I can't imagine anything more exciting than an actual Tony Awards Pop-Up Shop, in the heart of Times Square!" said author Tepper. "I'm thrilled to return to the store for the second year in a row, as there's nothing I love more than the Tony Awards. It's such an honor to be able to share some of 'The Untold Stories of Broadway' with Amanda, Jay, Jim and our other guests, inside a new place that is actually making Broadway history."

The Paramount Hotel is located on 46th Street between Broadway and 8th Avenue. The Tony Awards Pop-Up Shop is open to the public seven days a week from 11 AM-8 PM, through the day of the CBS Tony Award telecast June 7. Theatregoers can pick up exclusive merchandise including t-shirts, pins, posters, mugs, sweatshirts, onesies, hats, binoculars, umbrellas and more. The Pop-Up will also have merchandise available from Tony-eligible shows of the 2014-15 Broadway season. Tony Awards memorabilia celebrating the last 69 years of the Awards will also be on display.
