The 8 PM concert, which will be recorded for a future broadcast on WBAI-Pacifica Radio, will be directed by Gabriel Barre (Andrew Lippa's The Wild Party) with musical direction by David Evans.
The cast will include Anastasia Barzee (Urinetown, Jekyll & Hyde), Walter Charles (Anything Goes, La Cage Aux Folles), Jenn Gambatese (All Shook Up, Tarzan) and Louis Hobson (Next to Normal, Bonnie and Clyde).
Based on a short story by Thomas Hardy, with book and lyrics by Stephen Cole and music by Matthew Ward, After the Fair made its premiere at the Lyric Stage in Dallas, TX, and won five Dallas Theatre League Awards including Best New Play or Musical and Best Musical Production. In 1999, After the Fair made its Off-Broadway debut at the York Theatre Company. The show was also seen at the King's Head Theatre in London.
The concert is produced by Tim Jerome and Cole, and for radio by Sue Zizza.
