Jenn Gambatese, best known for creating the role of Jane in the Broadway musical Tarzan, joins the Broadway cast of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s School of Rock—The Musical on August 9 when she succeeds Sierra Boggess in the lead female role of Principal Rosalie Mullins.

She appears opposite Tony nominee Alex Brightman.

Gambatese previously originated the Broadway role of Natalie in All Shook Up, played Glinda in the first national tour of Wicked, and also appeared on Broadway in: Hairspray, Is He Dead?, A Year with Frog and Toad, and Footloose.

Boggess played her final performance as the stern administrator with a soft spot for rocker Steve Nicks on August 8, before departing for Paris to play Christine Daae in Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera.

Currently in performance at the Winter Garden Theatre, School of Rock is based on the hit 2003 film of the same, featuring music from the movie, as well as an original score by Andrew Lloyd Webber, lyrics by Glenn Slater, a book by Julian Fellowes and direction by Laurence Connor.
