Cabaret & Concert News Jessie Mueller Joins August Concert for America in Atlanta Keala Settle, Melissa Manchester, and other stars will sing at the Ferst Center benefit for human rights organizations.

Tony Award winner Jessie Mueller (Beautiful, Waitress) has joined the lineup of stars who will perform at the August edition of the Concert for America: Stand Up, Sing Out! series that is raising money for human rights organizations. The August concert of songs, comedy, and commentary will take place at Ferst Center for the Arts in Atlanta, Georgia, on August 28.

Also newly added to the Atlanta lineup: Grammy Award winner Melissa Manchester, YouTube celebrity Randy Rainbow, and TV star Kim Fields (The Facts of Life, Living Single).

The newly announced stars will join Tony nominee Keala Settle, Emmy and Golden Globe Award winner Sharon Gless, Nora Schell, Ryann Redmond, Kim Fields, Christopher L. Morgan, and Royce Mann. The previously announced Faith Prince has withdrawn.

The monthly Concerts for America series, created by Seth Rudetsky and James Wesley, benefits The Southern Poverty Law Center, National Immigration Law Center, The Sierra Club Foundation, NAACP, and National Coalition Against Domestic Violence. More celebrities are expected to be announced in the coming weeks. Participating performers are subject to change.

For those unable to attend the Atlanta Concert for America in person, it will be broadcast via Facebook Live on the Concert for America Facebook page and at ConcertsforAmerica.com, on August 28.

Rudetsky, a Playbill columnist and Sirius/XM radio personality, will host the 7:30 PM concert, which features songs, comedy, and commentary. Additional performers are expected to come on board in the coming weeks. The series, which originated at Town Hall in Manhattan, has performed editions in Chicago, Seattle, and elsewhere.
