Jim Henson Company, according to Deadline.com, is developing an animated musical series based on the stage production. Henson Digital Puppetry Studio will "animate young fish Dorsal and his pals as they navigate a vibrant underwater world in stories full of comedy, friendship and music."

Executive producers of the series will include Lisa Henson, Halle Stanford, Tartaglia, Jill Shinderman and Michael Shawn Lewis.

ImaginOcean opened in New York in March 2010. The 50-minute production, according to previous press notes, featured "extraordinary puppets, memorable original songs, and a heartwarming journey of discovery by three loveable fish named Tank, Bubbles, and Dorsel who take the audience on their singing, bubbling, jiving adventure, making friends along the way."

Tartaglia has appeared on Broadway in Avenue Q, Beauty and the Beast and Shrek the Musical.
