News John Barrowman and Kathryn Evans Sing Broadway in American Hot West End stars John Barrowman and Kathryn Evans will tackle the lullabies of Broadway in their new concert production, American Hot. Backed by the BBC Big Band, they will give voice to the work of Yankee composers Cole Porter, Stephen Sondheim, George Gershwin, John Kander and Fred Ebb, Jerry Herman and Frank Loesser.

West End stars John Barrowman and Kathryn Evans will tackle the lullabies of Broadway in their new concert production, American Hot. Backed by the BBC Big Band, they will give voice to the work of Yankee composers Cole Porter, Stephen Sondheim, George Gershwin, John Kander and Fred Ebb, Jerry Herman and Frank Loesser. Barrowman and Evans most recently worked together in Cameron Mackintosh's production of The Fix at the Donmar Warehouse. They first teamed in Anything Goes at the Prince Edward Theatre, which marked John's West End debut. Barrowman also starred as Joe Gillis in the Broadway production of Sunset Boulevard.

American Hot will include selections from such musicals as Hello, Dolly!, Guys and Dolls, Anything Goes, Sweet Charity, Follies and Show Boat. It will debut at the Derngate Theatre in Northhampton on July 4 (phone: 0 160 462 4811), and then travel to the Fairfield Hall in Croyden on July 9 (0 181 688 9291).
