News John Byner & Donna Mills to Partake in Rothman's Fame, April 29 It's appropriate that TV stars John Byner and Donna Mills will soon be appearing in the new play, Who Wants Fame?, at L.A.'s Court Theatre; the playwright's tube credits read like a history of 1970s television comedy. A two-character romantic comedy about show business, Who Wants Fame?, will be directed by the author, whose other plays include 1988's Excess Baggage. Comedian Byner appeared on "Bizarre" and "Real People"; Mills is best known for starring on "Knot's Landing."

Rothman told Playbill On-Line he believes Byner "does the definitive and funniest Ed Sullivan impression" and his "only regret is that there is no opportunity for [Byner] to perform it in this play. It would be out of character. Maybe another time..."

Previews for Fame begin April 29 for an opening the second week of May.
