The production, directed by Fisher Stevens, will play 15 performances only Sept. 30-Oct. 16 at The Ricardo Montalbán Theatre. Opening night is scheduled for Oct. 2 at 5 PM.

In a statement Leguizamo said, “I love that all my peoples are showing up to witness the latest chapter of my life on stage; I want to keep this show open until I’ve messed up my 10 year old son enough for him to be my understudy.”

Ghetto Klown will be presented by WestBeth Entertainment.

Tickets go on sale on July 31 at 10 AM at tix.com or by calling (800) 595-4849. The Ricardo Montalbán Theatre is located at 1615 Vine Street, Hollywood.

* The show, according to press notes, takes audiences "from [Leguizamo's] adolescent memories in Queens to the early days of his acting career during the outrageous '80s avant-garde theatre scene, and on to the sets of major motion pictures and his roles opposite some of Hollywood's biggest stars."

The Broadway production featured scenic design by Happy Massee, lighting design by Jen Schriever, sound design by Peter Fitzgerald and projection design by Aaron Gonzalez. The projection consultant was Christopher Cronin, and the movement consultant was Marlyn Ortiz.

Producers are WestBeth Entertainment, Daveed D. Frazier and Nelle Nugent.

The Broadway engagement was preceded by a Chicago run. Entitled John Leguizamo Warms Up, the production played the Royal George Theater Feb. 1-12.

John Leguizamo earned Tony nominations for his solo shows Sexaholix and Freak. He has appeared in Mambo Mouth and the short-lived revival of David Mamet's American Buffalo. His film credits include "The Summer of Sam," "Moulin Rouge," "To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar" and "Romeo + Juliet."
