Tony Award winner John Lithgow (The Changing Room, Sweet Smell of Success) and Emmy Award winner Jane Lynch ("Glee") are among the artists set for the 2011-12 Live Talks Los Angeles series, which raises funds for literacy and educational organizations in the Los Angeles area.

An Evening with Hal Holbrook in conversation with Robert Patrick will kick off the series Sept. 8 at 8 PM at Track 16 in the Bergamot Station Arts Center. Holbrook, who won a Tony Award in 1966 for his performance in Mark Twain Tonight!, will discuss his memoir "Harold: The Boy Who Became Mark Twain."

Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson, authors of "Peter and the Starcatchers," the 2004 children's novel that was recently adapted into a stage version for New York Theatre Workshop, will be seen at Track 16 Sept. 22 at 8 PM. An Evening with Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson will feature the two authors discussing their collaborations, including "Peter and the Starcatchers," a prequel to the classic "Peter Pan."

An Evening with Jane Lynch in conversation with Adam Scott will be held Oct. 2 at 7 PM. The "Glee" star will be seen at Club Nokia at L.A. Live to talk about her new memoir, "Happy Accidents," which chronicles her struggle with alcoholism and her sexual identity.

An Evening with John Lithgow will feature the performer discussing his latest memoir, "Drama: An Actor's Education," Oct. 6 at 8 PM. The Tony Award winner will be seen at the Aero Theatre and also reflect on his childhood and early career.

will be seen talking about his memoir "God, If You’re Not Up There, I’m F*cked: Tales of Stand-Up, Saturday Night Live, and Other Mind-Altering Mayhem" Nov. 17 at 8 PM. An Evening With Darrell Hammond will be held at Track 16. Tony Award winner Harry Belafonte
(John Murray Anderson's Almanac) will share stories from "My Song" Nov. 28 at 8 PM. In An Evening With Harry Belafonte, held at Track 16, the performer will talk about his encounters with John F. Kennedy, Marlon Brando, Martin Luther King, Jr., Robert Kennedy and Nelson Mandela, among others.

Live Talks Los Angeles brings authors, artists, leaders, musicians and scientists, among others, to Los Angeles. Net proceeds from Live Talks support literacy, educational and arts causes in Los Angeles. For the 2011-12 season, Live Talks will raise funds for First Book, The Actor's Gang, American Cinematheque, KCET and The Los Angeles Review of Books.
