Josh Groban plays his final Broadway performance as Pierre in the Tony Award-nominated musical Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812 July 2 at the Imperial Theatre.

The Great Comet marked the Broadway debut of the multi-hyphenate artist, who earned raves from critics and a Tony Award Nomination for Best Lead Actor in a Musical. Groban’s casting secured the unconventional show’s move to Broadway last October.

Watch The Great Comet perform on the 2017 Tony Awards:

Groban will be succeeded by former Hamilton cast member Okieriete “Oak” Onaodowan, who is now scheduled to begin performances as Pierre on July 11. For the week of July 3–9, the role will be played by the show’s Tony-nominated creator (and original Off-Broadway Pierre) Dave Malloy.

Also joining the show July 3 is Ingrid Michaelson. The multi-platinum singer-songwriter makes her Broadway debut in the role of Sonya, stepping in temporarily for original cast member Brittain Ashford.

Created by Malloy and directed by Rachel Chavkin, The Great Comet opened at Broadway’s Imperial Theatre November 14, 2016. The production received the most Tony Award nominations of the season, and won for scenic and lighting design.
