PlayBlog Judi Dench Sings "Send in the Clowns" for BBC Sondheim Celebration (Video) Tony and Oscar winner Judi Dench performed "Send in the Clowns" July 31 as part of the BBC Proms "Sondheim at 80" concert, honoring the Little Night Music composer's 80th birthday.

Dench played Desiree Armfeldt in the 1995 Royal National Theatre revival of the musical, and memorably performed the classic song of heartbreak at the Cameron Mackintosh tribute "Hey! Mr. Producer," among other events.

The concert also featured performances by Bryn Terfel, Maria Friedman, Simon Russell Beale, Daniel Evans, Jenna Russell and Julien Ovendon.
