News Judy Gold's The Judy Show: My Life as a Sitcom to Play Off-Broadway's DR2 Theatre Emmy-winning actress and comic Judy Gold, who was seen Off-Broadway in 25 Questions for a Jewish Mother, will return to the New York stage June 30 in a brand-new show entitled The Judy Show: My Life as a Sitcom.

The production, produced by Daryl Roth and Eva Price, will officially open at the DR2 Theatre July 7.

The solo show, which was written by Gold and Kate Moira Ryan, will be directed by Amanda Charlton, who helmed the production's earlier incarnation at the Williamstown Theatre Festival. The Judy Show also features songs by Gold and Ryan with additional material by Eric Kornfeld and Bob Smith.

The Judy Show, according to Variety, "chronicles Gold's current life as the lesbian mother of two as well as the avid television enthusiasms of her childhood."

Gold's 25 Questions for a Jewish Mother received a 2006 Drama Desk nomination for Outstanding Solo Performance and a GLAAD Award for Outstanding New York Theatre: Broadway and Off-Broadway. Emmy award-winning writer/actress/comic Gold is the host of HBO's "At the Multiplex with Judy Gold" and also hosted Comedy Central's "100 Greatest Stand-ups of All Time," and the GLAAD Media Awards which aired on LOGO and VH1. The winner of two Emmy Awards for writing and producing "The Rosie O'Donnell Show," Gold was nominated twice for The American Comedy Awards' Funniest Female Stand-Up. Gold has co-hosted "The View." Her TV specials include a half-hour comedy special for LOGO, "Comedy Central Presents: Judy Gold," Comedy Central's "Tough Crowd Stand Up," and her own HBO half-hour special for which she received a Cable ACE Award. Featured in the HBO documentary "All Aboard," she was also seen in the film "The Aristocrats."

The production will feature scenic and projection design by Andrew Boyce, lighting design by Joshua Scherr and sound design by Alex Neumann.
