Julie Andrews is working on an autobiography about her early years in show business, she said during an Oct. 11 appearance on TV's "The Rosie O'Donnell Show."

Andrews, who has just published an illustrated cat-themed children's book, "Little Bo" (under the name Julie Andrews Edwards), said the upcoming autobiography would focus on her girlhood in England and her days as a young performer, leading up to the opening of the show that assured her a future: Broadway's My Fair Lady.

She also told O'Donnell that the singing voice she lost after surgery is slowly coming back.

Andrews, of course, starred in My Fair Lady and Camelot on Broadway before finding international stardom in the Walt Disney's "Mary Poppins" and the film version of The Sound of Music.

Her husband is Blake Edwards, the screenwriter, film director and stage director (Victor/Victoria). -- By Kenneth Jones
