News Kathleen Chalfant and Larry Pine Will Get Parental Surprise in The Cook's Tour at Urban Stages Angels in America veterans Kathleen Chalfant and Larry Pine will co-star in a reading of David Koteles' comedy The Cook's Tour Feb. 8 at Urban Stages.

Chris Henry, who directed the acclaimed production of Sean Cullen's Safe Home last season, will helm the free 6 PM reading.

In addition to Tony Award nominee Chalfant (W;t, M. Butterfly) and Pine (End of the World, Bus Stop), the cast will include Eric T. Miller (Safe Home), Rebecca Nelson (Coming Soon) and Josh Segarra ("The Electric Company").

Here's how the play is billed: "When Christopher visits his parents and introduces his new boyfriend Javier, the evening spins out of control with hilarious and damaging consequences. The Cook’s Tour is a play about first impressions, wrong impressions, misgivings and cocktails."

Koteles is also the author of the GLAAD-nominated comedy Bald Diva!: the Ionesco Parody Your Mother Warned You About.
