Kevin Kline, one of the most famous alums of The Acting Company, will perform an evening of Shakespeare at a Sept. 22 benefit for the company. In a statement, Kline said, "Those four years [with the Acting Company] were as valuable as 20 spent on the Broadway stage. I got to play the great roles of the classical canon at a young age when others were doing commercials and soaps. The Acting Company is the very best for which a young actor could hope."

Kline went on to appear in such Broadway shows as On the Twentieth Century, The Pirates of Penzance and Ivanov and the recent The Seagull in Central Park. He has also made his mark in Shakespeare, acting Hamlet twice and arranging — and performing in — an evening of sonnets at the Public Theater.

Tickets are $100, $250 and $75 and available through telecharge.com. Benefit tickets are $375, $500 and $1,000 (tables available $5,000, $10,000 and $25,000) through The Acting Company, (212) 258-3111.
