News Key Brand Entertainment Inc. Acquires Broadway.com John Gore, founder, CEO and owner of privately held Key Brand Entertainment Inc., announced Dec. 16 that his company has completed the acquisition of the theatrical website Broadway.com from Hollywood Media Corp.

With this acquisition Key Brand — which previously acquired Broadway Across America from Live Nation in 2008 — now owns 100 percent of Broadway.com's outstanding stock. In addition to Gore and chairman Thomas B. McGrath, Key Brand's other shareholders include Tokyo Broadcasting System Television, Inc., Japan's major television network; TBS Service, Inc., a leading provider of media-related services; and Lawson Entermedia, Inc., the most prominent ticketing company in Japan.

Broadway.com president and COO Matt Kupchin and executive vice president of ticketing Jerome Kane will continue in their current roles and report to Gore.

Key Brand Entertainment Inc. is the leading developer, producer, and distributor of live theatre in North America and is focused on "building a platform dedicated to all types of theatrical business including stage show licensing, production and acquisition."
