It seems even movie monsters retire to Florida. Just in time for Halloween, the Triad Theatre will bring the Helen Butleroff directed and choreographed musical, Miami Beach Monsters, to life with performances beginning Oct. 25 for an opening Oct. 31.

Miami Beach Monsters is the story of six classic horror movie monsters who are enjoying their retirement in condos in Miami Beach. When a casting director calls, however, they all begin their big comebacks with musical revues and vaudeville acts.

The cast features Steve Elmore (Company) as Frankenstein, Laurie Gamache (A Chorus Line) as his Bride, Diane J. Findlay (Hello Dolly! with Carol Channing) as the Killer Tomato, Craig Mason (The Sound of Music) as Count Dracula, Richard Rowan as the Wolfman and Jimmy Spadola ("All My Children") as Catskilla.

Butleroff is the author of the musical revues Pets!and the Outer Critics Circle Award-nominated That's Life. Her collaborators on this project include music and lyrics by Michael Brown, Dick Gallagher, David Mettee, Steven Silverstein, David Strickland, Stephen Cole, Georgia Bogardus Holof and Ellen Schwartz.
