The Broadway Purim Shpiel, according to press notes, is a "hilarious retelling of the Purim story."
In a recent statement NEFCA founder and executive director Scott Kluge said, "For the sixth consecutive year, Broadway's biggest talents demonstrate their generosity by performing in our benefit. This year Richard Kind, one of our generations funniest actors, will take the helm as host of the Shpiel. This will be the most hilarious performance yet!"
Proceeds will benefit The Birthright Israel Foundation, an organization dedicated to "sending young Jews from across the world to Israel." The performance will be held at the Hudson Theatre at 141 West 44th Street in New York City. The event begins at 7 PM with complimentary cocktails followed by the 8 PM performance.
