News "Kings," with Homecoming's McShane, Will Be Part of NBC Schedule "Kings," the biblically inspired television pilot starring Golden Globe winner Ian McShane, has been picked up for the NBC fall line-up.

McShane stars as King Silas in a contemporary reinvention of the tale of King David, with Australian actor Christopher Egan cast as David. According to Variety, "Kings" will be a mid-season replacement in the 10 PM Sunday night slot. "Kings" is penned by "Heroes" scribe Michael Green, and will also feature Sebastian Stan, Susanna Thompson and Allison Mille.

McShane most recently appeared on Broadway with Raúl Esparza, Eve Best, Michael McKean, James Frain and Gareth Saxe in the revival of Harold Pinter's The Homecoming.

McShane made his Broadway debut in 1967 in The Promise. His London stage credits include Joe Orton's Loot and the musical adaptation of The Witches of Eastwick. McShane earned a Golden Globe Award for his performance on "Deadwood" and has appeared in the films "The Golden Compass," "We Are Marshall," "Villain," "Sexy Beast" and "Lovejoy."
