News Kitt, Porter, Andrew Jackson, Unmade Bed and The Petersons Set for Joe's Pub A host of theatre favorites will take to the intimate stage of Joe's Pub in October.

The Ghostlight Series, which presents a mix of Broadway performers and composers Mondays at 11:30 PM, will continue with Tom Kitt and Friends (Oct. 6), Songs From an Unmade Bed (Oct. 13) and The Petersons (Oct. 20).

A concert reading of Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson will also be part of the October offerings: Oct. 13 at 9 PM.

Daisy Prince will direct Tom Kitt and Friends, which will feature songs from Kitt's Next to Normal and High Fidelity, among other shows. Performers will include Billy Porter, Brooks Ashmanskas, Julia Murney, Jenn Collela, Amy Spanger, Kelli O'Hara, Gavin Creel, Aaron Tveit and Alice Ripley.

A concert version of the acclaimed song cycle Songs From an Unmade Bed will feature the show's original star, Michael Winther, as well as guest artists to be announced at a later date. Songs was penned by lyricist Mark Campbell and 18 different composers: Debra Barsha, Mark Bennett, Peter Foley, Jenny Giering, Peter Golub, Jake Heggie, Stephen Hoffman, Lance Horne, Gihieh Lee, Steven Lutvak, Steve Marzullo, Brendan Milburn, Chris Miller, Greg Pliska, Kim D. Sherman, Duncan Sheik, Jeffrey Stock and Joseph Thalken. Kimberly Grigsby will be the evening's musical director.

The Petersons will offer a mix of live music and irreverent satire with special guests to be announced at a later date. The concert reading of Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson will be presented by the downtown theatre company Les Freres Corbusier. The musical was penned by Michael Friedman and Alex Timbers and is described as a "fast-paced, irreverent Wild West spectacle celebrating the founding of the Democratic Party." Performers will be announced at a later date.
