PlayBlog Kristin Chenoweth and Sean Hayes Perform, Discuss Newsweek Article on "The View" (Video) Promises, Promises stars Kristin Chenoweth and Sean Hayes visited “The View” June 3 to chat with the hosts and perform the musical’s Burt Bacharach-Hal David chestnut “I’ll Never Fall in Love Again.”

During their pre-performance chat, guest co-host Ashleigh Banfield asked Hayes about the Newsweek web article in which reporter Ramin Setoodeh argued that gay actors are unbelievable in straight romantic roles. Hayes and Chenoweth both laughed off the article, with Hayes saying, “You can’t pigeonhole anybody” and that Setoodeh “doesn’t know what it means to be an artist.” Chenoweth believes the reporter did not properly research the article, saying to CourtTV and former MSNBC journalist Banfield and the other hosts, “You guys know how important it is to say things well. I don’t think he said it well.”
