Osmo V‹nsk‹, the music director of the Minnesota Orchestra, will lead the LPO in the first four concerts of the tour, which begins tomorrow in Santa Barbara, California, and runs through March 27. It has not yet been determined when Masur will be well enough to return to the podium.
Masur is now recuperating at his home in Germany, a spokesperson for the orchestra told Playbill Arts.
The season, opening September 21, will include 58 ballets across 21 weeks of performances.
