News L.A. Asks Theatre Companies to Come to the Edge of the World by May 1 Every major theatre city has its fringe, and Los Angeles is no different. The Edge of the World Theater Festival, L.A.'s celebration of its own off off-Broadway sensibilities, is now accepting applications for November's fest through May 1.

Every major theatre city has its fringe, and Los Angeles is no different. The Edge of the World Theater Festival, L.A.'s celebration of its own off off-Broadway sensibilities, is now accepting applications for November's fest through May 1. In 2000, the festival presented 65 shows in 31 venues across the Los Angeles area. Among the companies participating were the Zoo District, Theatre of NOTE, Sacred Fools, Open Fist, Moving Arts, The Actor's Gang, Pacific Resident Theatre, Odyssey Theatre Ensemble and the Ensemble Studio Theatre - L.A. Project.

Applications can be downloaded from the Edge of the World Theater Festival website at http://www.edgeoftheworld.org. Entry fee is $50 with a late fee tacked on for any entry after May 1.
