News L.A. Debut of Jeffrey Hatcher's A Picasso Shelved Plans for the West Coast debut of Jeffrey Hatcher's A Picasso at Los Angeles' Geffen Playhouse have been postponed to a future date.

The work was slated to play a Dec. 5-Jan. 14, 2007, run in the Audrey Skirball Kenis Theater, Geffen's intimate second stage, but will not perform "due to scheduling conflicts within the theatre," according to an announcement. New dates will be announced at a later time. No further details were available at press time.

The Geffen Playhouse next houses Carrie Fisher's Wishful Drinking, which starts Nov. 7. Also slated are David Mamet's Speed-the-Plow (Jan. 30-March 18, 2007), Neil LaBute's Fat Pig (March 9-May 20, 2007), Tom Stoppard's translation of Gérald Sibleyras' Heroes (April 10-May 27, 2007) and Heshey Felder's George Gershwin Alone (June 5-July 22, 2007).
