News LaBute's "Wrecks and other plays" Due in Bookstores July 17 A new tome featuring a mix of Neil LaBute short plays and dialogues as well as the full text for his play Wrecks is scheduled to arrive in stores July 17.

Faber and Faber, Inc. has published the soft cover book, which features the texts for Wrecks, Liars Club, Union Square, Love at Twenty, Land of the Dead, Stand-Up, Coax and Falling in Like. The 123-page "Wrecks and other plays" has a retail price of $14. Wrecks made its world premiere in November 2005 at the Everyman Palace Theatre in Cork, Ireland. Its U.S. premiere was at the Public Theater in October 2006. Ed Harris starred in the one-man play in both locations.

Neil LaBute is also the author of bash: latterday plays, The Distance from Here, The Mercy Seat, Fat Big, Autobahn, This Is How It Goes, Some Girl(s), The Shape of Things and In a Dark, Dark House. His film include "In the Company of Men," "Your Friends and Neighbors," "Nurse Betty," "Possession" and "The Wicker Man."
