The cast of "Glee" and "Mad Men"'s Bryan Batt will also appear at the ceremony; those shows are nominated in the Outstanding Comedy Series and Outstanding Drama Series categories, respectively. Lambert is up for Outstanding Music Artist for his "For Your Entertainment" album.
According to the website for GLAAD (Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation), the GLAAD Media Awards "recognize and honor media for their fair, accurate and inclusive representations of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community and the issues that affect their lives." The New York awards took place March 13 at the Marriot Marquis in Times Square. The San Francisco awards will take place June 13 at the Westin St. Francis.
As previously announced, Wilson Cruz will co-host the awards in Los Angeles; he will share hosting duties with Candis Cayne. Others scheduled to participate in the event include RuPaul, Sofia Vergara, Benjamin Bratt, Eric Dane, Tom Ford, Rob Alford, Elizabeth Keener, Countees LuAnn de Lessups, Jason Lewis and Constance McMillen.
The evening will begin with a cocktail reception and silent auction at 5 PM, followed by the dinner and awards ceremony at 7 PM. A celebrity after-party will begin immediately following the ceremony.
