Tina Landau will helm Nobel Prize winner Seamus Heaney's The Cure at Troy for Seattle Repertory Theatre.

The Cure at Troy – Heaney's adaptation of Sophocles' Philoctetes – will begin April 3 and officially open April 9 for a run scheduled through May 3.

Included in the cast are Guy Adkins, Hans Altwies, Ben Gonio, Jon Hill, Boris McGiver and Seth Numrich.

"The fate of a raging war rests on one treacherous plan," explain press notes for The Cure at Troy. "Odysseus discovers the only way to guarantee a victory over the Trojans is by using the bow and arrow of the god Hercules. But the weapon just happens to be in the hands of Philoctetes, a wounded soldier Odysseus abandoned on a wretched, muddy island ten years earlier."

The creative team includes Blythe Quinlan (scenic designer), Anita Yavich (costume designer), Scott Zielinski (lighting designer) and Josh Schmidt (sound design/original musical compositions).

Landau's credits as a director include the Signature staging of Iphigenia 2.0, Trojan Women, Orestes and Bells Are Ringing. Her works for the stage include collaborations with Adam Guettel on Floyd Collins, Ricky Ian Gordon on Dream True, as well as Beauty, Space, 1969 and Stonewall.
