Bravo's Emmy Award-nominated series "Inside the Actors Studio," hosted and created by James Lipton, is now housed at Pace University's downtown Michael Schimmel Center for the Arts. This 12th season will feature Al Pacino, Dave Chapelle, Queen Latifah, Barbara Walters and Martin Lawrence among others.

"The twelfth season is very special for 'Inside the Actors Studio' because it has such an unusual range," stated Lipton in a release. "From the iconic work of Al Pacino to the sharp contemporary comedy — and commentary — of Dave Chappelle and Queen Latifah, to the historic presence of Barbara Walters, to the hilarity of Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick, to the unbridled brilliance of Martin Lawrence, I suspect the show and I are in for a hell of a ride."

Lane and Broderick currently appear on Broadway in the sold-out revival of Neil Simon's The Odd Couple. Pacino last appeared on Broadway in Salome. Latifah is known to stage fans as the Mama Morton of the Rob Marshall film version of "Chicago."

Nominated for two 2005 Emmy Awards, one for "Outstanding Non-Fiction series" and one as "Outstanding Non-Fiction Special" (for its 10th anniversary special), "Inside" is the longest-running original series on the cable network. The show features host Lipton interviewing actors, writers and directors in front of an audience filled with theatre students.

The show formerly ran at The New School University's Actors Studio Drama School — where Lipton served as dean. The upcoming 12th season will tape later this fall from the Lower Manhattan venue which is part of Pace's downtown campus.
