News Lang, Allen, Modine and Strathairn to Read "Operation Homecoming" Sept. 27 at Symphony Space A mix of stage and screen stars will take part in a reading of "Operation Homecoming: Writing the Wartime Experience" at Symphony Space.

The Sept. 27 performance of the anthology — which grew out of 50 National Endowment for the Arts-sponsored workshops — is scheduled to feature the talents of Stephen Lang, Joan Allen, Matthew Modine and David Strathairn. Show time is 8 PM. "Operating Homecoming" launches the 24th season of the Symphony Space series "Selected Shorts: A Celebration of the Short Story." This new work features stories penned by "U.S. soldiers and their families about their experiences in Afghanistan and Iraq and on the homefront."
