News Larry David's Fish in the Dark Has Multi-Million Dollar Advance Sales Prior to its first preview at Broadway's Cort Theatre, which is set for Feb. 2, the world premiere of Larry David's new comedy Fish in the Dark has taken in more than $11 million in advance sales at the box office, according to the New York Post.

That figure, which is expected to reach $13 million by its official March 5 opening, is the highest advance for any spring production on Broadway, according to the New York daily.

The play, from the creator and star of HBO’s “Curb Your Enthusiasm” and co-creator of “Seinfeld," will be directed by Tony Award winner Anna D. ShapiroThe cast will also include Rita Wilson, Jayne Houdyshell, Rosie Perez, Ben Shenkman, Lewis J. Stadlen, Jerry Adler, Marylouise Burke, Jake Cannavale, Jenn Lyon, Jonny Orsini and Molly Ranson.

Fish in the Dark is described as "a comedy about a death in the family."

The production will have scenic design by Todd Rosenthal, costume design by Ann Roth, lighting design by Brian MacDevitt and sound design by Rob Milburn and Michael Bodeen. .

Fish is produced by Scott Rudin.

During previews, show times will be Monday-Saturday at 8 PM with matinees Wednesday and Saturday at 2 PM. Beginning March 10, show times will be Tuesday and Thursday at 7 PM and Wednesday, Friday and Saturday at 8 PM with matinees Wednesday and Saturday at 2 PM and Sunday at 3 PM.
