News   L.A.'s Road Theatre Dips Into World Premiere, Swimming, Jan. 12
Swimming, a portrait of a marriage weighted down by a lie, will get its world premiere in early 2007 by The Road Theatre Company in North Hollywood, CA.

Steve Totland's award-winning play, billed as "a disturbing examination of the destructive power of a lie," will run Jan. 12-March 24, 2007. Meryl Friedman directs.

According to The Road production notes, "David and Denise dive into a swimming hole in rural Kansas. So begins a 10-year marriage that looks as beautiful as the clear blue water. But under the surface lies an eddy of deception that threatens to drown their marriage. When you're in over your head, how long can you hold your breath?"

Opening is Jan. 19.
