LOS ANGELES -- The Towne Street Theatre, one of L.A.'s two African-American theatre companies, is offering beginning acting, classical theatre, screenwriting and playwriting classes beginning mid- September for 10-week courses.The classes, most of which conclude with staged readings or showcases, have tuition charges of $150-$325 per course.
Classes will be held at the Raven Playhouse in N. Hollywood and the Oasis Senior Center in Baldwin Hills.
The Towne Street Theatre's new season will begin in late October. The company will also perform at L.A. Arts Day's open house Oct. 3 at the Pasadena Art Space, 1 Colorado Blvd., Pasadena.
