News Lasser and Converse to Star in Food for Thought Reading of Miller Play The acclaimed Food for Thought reading series will kick off its new season Sept. 20 with a reading of Arthur Miller's A Memory of Two Mondays.

Louise Lasser and Frank Converse will head a cast of 12 — which also includes Avenue Q's Barrett Foa — for the Miller reading. The day begins with a light lunch at The National Arts Club at 12:30 PM, followed by the reading of the Miller play at 1:30 PM. A question-and-answer session with the playwright, the actors and the director will follow the reading. The upcoming season will also boast the premiere of a new one-woman play by Lynn Redgrave. Entitled Nightingale, the work is based on the life of Redgrave's maternal grandmother and will be presented Oct. 7. That afternoon will also feature a reunion of the stars of the Off-Broadway play Talking Heads: Redgrave, Kathleen Chalfant, Christine Ebersole and Frances Sternhagen will all be on hand to offer excerpts from their respective monologues.

The new Food for Thought season runs Sept. 20-Dec. 20. The company's roster of actors includes Marcia Gay Harden, Treat Williams, Rosie Perez, Campbell Scott, Danny Aiello and Kathleen Turner.

Food for Thought Lunch Hour Theatre — run by artistic director Susan Charlotte — plays the National Arts Club, located in Manhattan at 15 Gramercy Park South.
