Shadow Boxers is Whitehouse's first full length production. This dark comedy set in an old-fashion luncheonette/pharmacy and explores a group of off-center characters in various transitions of love.

Whitehouse, beyond being the author of the piece, is also the creator and Artistic Director of Fatchance Productions. She created the company in 1998 to give unestablished artists opportunities to do theatre.

David DeBeck, director of the recently completed film "Nothin' but Trouble," was brought in to direct. DeBeck was an original member/director of the Barrow Group and has worked closely with The American Theater of Harlem.

The show stars Shannon Lee Jones, seen in Broadway's La Cage Aux Folles; Polly Adams, from Woody Allen's film "Celebrity"; Rhett Rossi, Ron L. Cox, Paul Eisemann, Michael Marcus and Reed Ridgely. Shadow Boxers will run Wednesday through Saturdays. Tickets are $12 and a portion of which will be donated to muscular dystrophy research. For reservations call (212) 431-0077.
