Utah stage veteran Patrick Page will end his reign as the deformed and villainous King Richard III in William Shakespeare's tragedy at Salt Lake City's Pioneer Theatre Feb. 27. Performances began Feb. 10.

Paige, who most recently stood by for Marley and Scrooge in Madison Square Garden's A Christmas Carol, appeared on Broadway as Lumiere in Beauty and the Beast -- the same role for which he won Chicago's Joseph Jefferson Award in the national touring company. Along with the title roles in regional productions of Henry V, Macbeth and Hamlet, Paige performed in Shakespeare's Richard II at the Public Theatre.

Joining Paige are Max Robinson as Sir William Catesby, Robert Peterson as Lord Hastings, Richard Mathews as Stanley, Earl of Derby, Ross Bickell as the Duke of Buckingham, Patricia Fraser as Queen Margaret, Rick Fredrick as Lord Rivers, Libby George as Duchess of York, Kurt Ziskie as Duke of Clarence, Robin Atkinson as Sir Richard Radcliffe, Sean Dougherty as Earl of Richmond, Gus Kaikkonen as King Edward IV and Gwendolyn Lewis as Queen Elizabeth.

Also in the cast are Blaine Christine, Joe Debevc [sic], Rebecca Dutton, Andrew Fuller, Stephen Ivey, Justin Ivie, Ned Stanley, Christopher T. Van Dijk and Joel Weaver.
