The Present Company will conclude its production of C. J. Hopkins' play Horse Country at its brand new Theatorium on New York's Lower East Side, on Feb. 13. The two-character work directed by John Clancy began on Jan. 21.

Horse Country focuses on the vaudevillian duo of Bob and Sam. Their comedy schtick takes the audience on a journey into the world of contemporary American culture. Hopkins promises to deliver "a radical interrogation of our ideas and perceptions of society, morals, power, meaning and, ultimately, reality itself" -- a tall order, to be sure.

The Present Company has previously presented Hopkins' Texas Radio . His other works include The Position and screwmachine/eyecandy. Starring in Horse Country are Dan Berkey and Frederick Backus. Clancy recently directed Brian Parks' Americana Absurdum at the Theatorium.
