News LAST CHANCE: What's Closing This Week Here's Playbill.com's weekly "Last Chance" reminder to catch Broadway, Off-Broadway and world-premiere productions before they take a final bow.

Concluding July 8 Anything Goes (Broadway at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre). The Tony Award-winning Roundabout Theatre Company revival of Anything Goes stars Stephanie J. Block and Joel Grey. According to Roundabout, "When the S.S. American heads out to sea, etiquette and convention head out the portholes as two unlikely pairs set off on the course to true love… proving that sometimes destiny needs a little help from a crew of singing sailors, an exotic disguise and some good old-fashioned blackmail." Set aboard a transatlantic ocean liner, the show features the American song classics "You're the Top," "Blow, Gabriel, Blow," "It's De-Lovely," "I Get A Kick Out of You" and "Anything Goes," among others. The Columnist (Broadway at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre). The Columnist, David Auburn's character study about the complexities and contradictions in the life and work of the late political journalist Joseph Alsop, stars Tony Award winner John Lithgow as the powerful writer in this fictionalized biography. Manhattan Theatre Club bills the new work this way: "Columnists are kings in mid-century America and Joseph Alsop (Lithgow) wears the crown. Joe is beloved, feared and courted in equal measure by the Washington political world at whose center he sits. But as the '60s dawn and America undergoes dizzying change, the intense political drama Joe is embroiled in becomes deeply personal as well." Visit TheColumnistBroadway.com.
